Winter Workouts 2026

Who is this for?

The sessions will be split into three groups:

Pitching basics – for 8, 9, and 10 year olds who are moving into live ball this summer.

Pitching extended – for pitchers aged 10 and up who have already pitched live ball and want to improve control, velocity and movement.

Catchers – for beginner catchers to get experience catching and blocking live pitching through repetition

Dates and times:

The Workout sessions run every Friday evening from July 3rd to August 7th.

Session times: 6:00pm to 7:30pm

What to bring:

Yes, it will be cold but pitching requires a full range of movement, so bulky hoodies and coats are not ideal. Instead, your child should wear an undershirt or skivvy under a t-shirt or playing top. Light sweatshirts are OK. Players should wear tracksuit pants or baseball pants, not shorts.

It will quite likely be slippery, so children should wear cleats or soccer boots, not sneakers.

Each child should have their own glove.

Catchers should have their own catchers mitt and preferably their own gear. If not let us know and we will arrange loan items.

Children should have a water bottle.

Who are the coaches?

Players will learn from an experienced group of coaches, including:

  • Tom MacKean – Former State League pitcher and catcher
  • Roger Morris – Former State League pitcher
  • Tim Tebbet – NSW Pitcher
  • Luke Eaton – Veteran First Grade Pitcher

With additional coaches to be announced.
