Why play baseball at Winston Hills?

Why baseball is the perfect weekend sport for your child

Baseball is the ultimate mix of fun, fitness and fair play — and it’s the perfect way to get your child active, social and smiling on a Saturday morning.

It’s competitive without being overwhelming, fast-paced without being frantic, and packed with opportunities to grow. Every child gets multiple turns at bat each game (even if they get out), and they’re constantly involved — unlike cricket, where much of the game is spent watching from the sidelines.

Baseball helps kids learn to work as a team, follow the rules, support their mates and push themselves in a positive environment. They’ll make new friends, burn off energy and develop confidence both on and off the field.

Best of all, games are done and dusted in a couple of hours on a Saturday morning — leaving the rest of your weekend free. Win-win.

Why Winston Hills?

Winston Hills has been part of the local community since 1983, and in that time we’ve built more than just a baseball club — we’ve built a family.

Our coaches bring years of experience, patience and passion to every training session and game, helping kids of all skill levels learn and grow in a supportive, encouraging environment. Whether your child is picking up a bat for the first time or has been playing for years, they’ll feel right at home.

We’re proud of our strong club spirit, where players, parents and volunteers all pitch in to make it a great experience for everyone. At Winston Hills, it’s not just about the score — it’s about friendships, fun and being part of something bigger.

Where are the games played?

Games are played all around the Hills District and surrounding suburbs. There are clubs at Kellyville, Castle Hill, Carlingford, Baulkham Hills, Rouse Hill, etc. The furthest you will travel is usually Richmond.

Games take place on Saturday mornings. The early timeslot usually at 8:30 and late timeslot at 10:30.

Your team’s training will held on one evening per week at our home ground, Col Sutton Reserve.
